The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the US. It stretches 5,989 feet across the East River, connecting the New York boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn. On average, more than 4,000 pedestrians, 120,000 cars and trucks, and 2,500 bicyclists cross the Bridge each and every day.
